Chinese smartphone maker One Plus has introduced its latest flagship device… and it’s making waves. It’s called the OnePlus 5T.

Touted as its “most competitive product to date”, the smartphone boasts a number of features that are being drooled over by tech enthusiasts, including fast hardware and a beautiful display.

The OnePlus 5T sports a 6-inch Full Optic AMOLED display, boasting an 18:9 aspect ratio that allows it to deliver an immersive viewing experience. This, couple with a seamless aluminum unibody, makes it both functional and visually slim.

“We love nothing more than offering our community the latest and greatest technology and a user experience to beat expectations,” said OnePlus founder Pete Lau. “Once again, we’ve worked hard to refine every last detail.”

Another highlight is the ceramic fingerprint sensor, which has been moved to the back. It unlocks in under 0.2 seconds (lightning FAST). There’s also the addition of Face Unlock (via OxygenOS), which is said to be one of the fastest on the market, allowing users to unlock their phone simply by looking at it.

Other OnePlus 5T details include a dual camera with “Enhanced Low-light Performance”; and a fast-charging solution called Dash Charge, allowing it to charge fully in a half-hour.

Running on OxygenOS, under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and up to 8GB of RAM, which OnePlus says allows the 5T to run “a large number of apps in the background without a single second of lag”.

The OnePlus 5T is available now in both the 64GB and 128GB option in Midnight Black online, starting at $499 USD.
